Peralada Wine, Spa & Golf Hotel
Girona, Spain
An exclusive Empordanese farmhouse designed around the theme of wine and cava, and offering absolute comfort.
The challenge of the Hotel Peralada project was to modernize its image in only three months, taking into account its location in the Empordà Golf course and its close relationship with the wineries and the surrounding castle.
The interior designers, Tarruella Trenchs Studio, decided to change the use of some spaces, centralizing the common areas of the hotel (lounges, bar, dining room and terrace) on the first floor.
To create a rustic effect while keeping the hotel modern and bright, the designers decided to paint the walls in neutral colours and place laminate oak parquet in the rooms on the first floor and in the reception and corridors.
Various Santa & Cole lamps are featured amid the furniture of neutral tones and natural materials. Antonio Arola’s Cirio Circular lamp illuminates and decorates the tables located inside the stone walls of the farmhouse. Many of Miguel Milá‘s designs, such as TMM and Cesta, are distributed in the common and rest areas.
To enhance the continuity and highlight the outdoor areas overlooking the golf course, the designers placed several similar furniture models in the interior and exterior areas. The TMM and Cesta lamps, both made of natural materials ideal for lighting and providing harmony and warmth, are also used in both areas.
In the second phase of the project, the designers transformed the office area into six suites with a terrace and a large, elegant room for events.
The suites, with a lounge area, fireplace and dressing room, follow the room design of the first phase. Miguel Milá‘s lamps illuminate the suites and other areas, providing the Mediterranean warmth, harmony and comfort typical of his designs.
