What are Neoseries?
Neoseries are Santa & Cole’s art editions. Unlike traditional graphic works, they start from an original work that is reproduced in the same size, colour, and even texture to convey the same emotion as the piece from which they originate.
Are they limited series?
No, Neoseries are numbered and certified, but not limited. They are produced on demand, so there is no stock of them, meaning the same amount of works are produced and sold. Hence, enjoyment of a work is no longer restricted to the uniqueness of a piece or the limited number of a series, leading to a democratisation of its price and quantity. This allows artists to be compensated in the form of royalties, which is the system currently used in the case of books and design editions.

What is the technique?
Initially, the original work is scanned in 3D, obtaining the most precise information about its relief as well as the most accurate colour through thousands of panoramic photographs. This creates a digital file that is later materialised on the most suitable medium, primarily cotton paper. Various digital printing techniques and different supports are combined, so each case is adjusted to the technique used by the artist in the original work. This way, the Neoserie reproduces even the texture effect of its reference work, allowing for a complete experience.
Can Neoseries be acquired already framed?
The fact that Neoseries are on paper offers great advantages for both transportation costs and the security of the works during shipping. However, at Santa & Cole, we offer advice and intermediation for framing if requested by the client. In the cities where Santa & Cole has a gallery, such as Barcelona, New York, or Mexico City, framing can be requested from the galleries, who can commission it from local suppliers meeting Santa & Cole's standards.

How do you select which artists participate?
We select the artists and the works that we like, taking as a point of departure Santa & Cole’s criteria for its design editions implemented during the last 40 years. We look for works that coexist harmoniously, do not follow trends, and therefore have timeless validity, evoke positive feelings, and that we believe will improve everyday life. To maintain this criteria, Santa & Cole has an Editorial Committee, a group of people who discuss to maintain and take care of the editorial line that defines us.
Where can they be seen?
The selection of Neoseries from our catalogue can be fully viewed on Santa & Cole's website, along with the original works, which are also for sale if available. However, the experience is much more complete if one can touch and feel their quality and texture, to observe that it is much more than a print. Therefore, we have several galleries, where through temporary exhibitions we show not only the Neoseries but also the body of work of our artists to promote and share their talent. From our Santa & Cole Gallery in Barcelona to the one in Belloch (our headquarters), through New York to Mexico City, our exhibitions travel, adapt and build bridges between these cities. Our Neoseries allow us to host exhibitions simultaneously in several locations, even if the original works have already been sold. For example, Marcos Isamat. Sencillamente dibujo is currently being exhibited simultaneously in Barcelona and Mexico City.

What value does a gallery in Mexico City have for Santa & Cole?
The case of Galería Santa & Cole in CDMX is special for us, as it was born from the interest in our art editions by Diez Company. They believed in the project to the point of daring to step out of their specialty in lighting to offer their clients another form of lighting through art. The CDMX gallery was opened in partnership with them in a beautiful location in Polanco (Campos Elíseos, 158), which couldn't be a better setting for our exhibitions. Moreover, our physical presence in the city allows us to claim the link between Santa & Cole (and consequently, Diez Company) with art, making it possible to incorporate a new offering into the projects where we are already present with lighting.
What type of client is the project aimed at?
On one hand, there are individual clients who find in our Neoseries a more democratic way to access art. Neoseries allow the client to acquire high-end quality, certified pieces without the need to allocate an extraordinary budget to art collecting. Additionally, in the case of our Master Neoseries, it is probably the only way to access an authentic edition of artists like Rubens, Caravaggio, or Velázquez.
On the other hand, Neoseries are a perfect solution for contract projects, as they cover the niche between the original work (for which there is rarely a budget) and the print or poster, allowing quality works to elevate the project while keeping within a limited budget. They have been well-received in hotels, where Neoseries provide a perfect opportunity to place quality art in the rooms, combined with a variety of original works in common areas. For this type of project, we offer a free art consultancy service, and our team of experts works with the client to come up with a proposal that fits their needs.
